Poetry in Motion

In honor September first, a few reflections on our summer of good American family fun.

We traveled to the Mountain………….Side Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Spent so much time in the pool……….therapy.

Enjoyed lots of time with our Children’s………………hospital.

Took long drives out to the Garden……………………..State Parkway.

Felt the sun on our leg…………………………..immoblizers.

Enjoyed the roller coaster……………………………of emotions.

Got lots of mileage on our four-wheeled………………chair.

Had many a wild and crazy night with……………….no sleep.

Did lots of exercise……………………..with the physical therapists.

Rode the merry-go-round……………….of insurance company claims.

Indulged in junk food………………from vending machines.

Gazed at the stars………………….in search of answers.

Summer 2017 – I bid you a not so fond farewell. As the air cools and school is about to start, I am thankful for the gifts you have given us.  I do plan to return most of them for a full refund, BUT I will keep the love and support, the friends new and old, and the stockpile of resiliency you have not-so-subltly hoisted upon us.

I am not a pray-er, but I have an end of summer prayer for progress, for freedom, and for success as my boy finally returns to the world and my girl continues to soar.
